Q:Why buy the Ductedfans-RC F18 when I can buy a foam F18 built and painted with retracts installed...
A: Want Fast Foam, Most endup pulling out the pre-installed equipment due to failier or just the desire to have more. More power more reliability (by using known components like authintic Brady Kress equipment, AstroFlight US made motors, Castle Creations quality ESC's) flexibility, and to make it yours by only adding what you want, want flaps add them or not want independant ailerons, elevators well the choice is yours its an open shell install your choice of of power package. Also if you get the plane white or flat gray, you wont ruin that pretty prepainted model
Q: Big Jet so why 480/ 70mm fans?
A: the light weight of the jet just makes it possible, so why not try it. Beast motors in wm 480s make 4lbt, ans Storm edf units make 4+ LBT this model has the room for the larger lipo packs of 4 or 5s, closer to scale size power plants , and room for retracts, and independant eleavator servos,
Q:Why the 620s and not 90 mm
A:The intake and exhaust are both small areas the 620s are more the correct size for a daul fan setup.Works well with the exhaust size without cutting the exhuast off, and replacing it just to open it up, also leaves a bit more room for other systems.
Q:What's the cheepest setup for cool Jet like performance
A:Well we are trying a direct drive pusher prop setup, we'll let you know how it goes.

Q: Why fill in all the detail with light fill?
A: The idea of using light filler (like DFRC pro fill) is not new we used it on our A10 mini foam for 8 years and on our Super Sporty 5 years before that many of the cut foam kits have used light fill for gap filling and so every so many years it gets reenvented as a fast foam process.
