The "Mosquito" features a huge light weight hand made streamlined epoxy glass fuselage with molded motor gondolas in one piece, white gelcoat.
* It is less than half the weight of the arf glow kit that are being converted to electric that sell for a bit less.
This Mosquito was designed for electric from the start, when nmhi ruled as the best batterys of choice, now with lipos this bird flys with a comanding presence.
The 2 Balsa wings are built up with Balsa ribs and then Balsa sheeted top and bottom. The Tail feathers are Balsa rib construction pre-sanded and ready to cover. The Mosquito has excellent and very impressive flying characteristics. (Cruising speed about 40 mph, top about 70 mph. The wings plug to the fuselage and can be removed for transportation. The motors attach direct to the firewalls of the fiberglass cowlings, which have access through service doors on the bottom. The Mosquito can be flown with Astro geared 05 motors with 11x6 props. Or use 2 Geared DFR Roto cans for increased flying times and higher efficiency. Fly it with 8 cell Sub C battery pack for first flights and then double up to 2 parallel packs for long flying times. (10 minutes per charge)
