Motor Identification: AC (Alternating Current) n (Neodymium) Diameter (mm) / Rotor Length (mm) / Number of turns or windings. E = Energy Star version for gliders. Less aggressive than standard model. Specifications will be posted soon. H = Helicopter version. This one has the same specifications as the ACn 22/20/3, but has continuous drive shaft through case.

Using Neodymium, the best available magnetic material, MEGA motor’s key features are small size and weight, wide speed and dynamic range, and of course, it’s unrivaled durability. Profile is based on Speed 600 size motors or MEGA brushed “Mini” and “Mini L” series. Performance, however, far exceeds comparable size ferrite motors. A striking feature is the high efficiency (up to 86%) of these motors when properly operated. ACn 22 Series are precision machined from quality materials and produced in four rotor lengths. They are designed for direct drive or ducted fan (EDF) operation, Though a gearbox can also be used for lower RPM higher torque applications.

A Kevlar wrap is used on all armatures, with two ball bearings. This means the the motors can operate a higher RPM (for example in a geared application) without fear of the motor being damaged. Neodymium is used for the magnets as it is the best possible magnet for these motors.

Smaller edf apps such as MF 480 would use a 15/16 2,3,4
