Kavan has created a class of its own with this Heinkel -16 "Salamander". The Electric Ducted Fan has finally arrived for park flyers. Now you can enjoy EDF in the nearby park. No helper, no bungee, just fun. The model is made from Depron and comes ready painted. The wing is a hollow moulded sandwich construction. The model is typically hand launched. The kit comprises an undercarriage too, and ROG from a paved runway is possible, especially with brushless setups!

The Salamander is designed for our Micro Fan, a Power 330 motor (Speed 300) and 8 x GP 1100 cells or similar. Alternatively a brushless motor may be choosen, and Lipo cells are an interesting option, since you may need only three of them.

The parts come prefabricated to a high standard, so that there is little work left to do for the modeller. The kit comprises all parts needed including undercarriage, vac- formed parts, decals and English instructions. Some of these models have already been flown indoors, but the design is intended for outdoor use. It is not a slowflyer. And if you like, you can easily shorten the wing to "optimize" speed.
